Scaled score versus percentage

A scaled score is not always the same as the percentage of questions answered correctly. Exam programs may convert raw performance to a reporting scale, and unscored items may appear on the test.

Set a margin above the minimum

Do not aim to scrape the published cut score in practice. Use fresh mixed tests and seek stable results across several attempts, with no major weak category hidden by a high total.
